I noticed while customising the keyboard layout I couldn't seem to easily create a key which would enter characters like "@" or "#" - is it possible to create custom keys which will enter these characters, without the user first having to tap a shift key (as this is a current barrier to entry for some users when having to fill out email fields etc. and they find it confusing).

You can use unassigned keys that are defined using a hexadecimal code (for instance, 00D9). 2. Select this key and press the Action button. In the new Keyboard Shortcuts Settings window, assign a Paste text action to this key. Enter the necessary text (in this case, "@") into the Text field. Do not forget the Show text on the on-screen keyboard box under the Text field. Once done configuring the settings, save them and close the window. Have a nice day
